UUM Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs & Alumni), Prof. Dr. Abdul Malek Abdul Karim received a courtesy visit from the delegates of University of Canterbury, New Zealand at his office this morning.
The delegation was represented by Dr. Russel Wordsworth and Mr. David Connel, accompanying them was the Dean of UUM-TISSA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chek Derashid and Deputy Dean, Dr. Natrah Saad.
The meeting which was aim at discussing academic collaboration between the University of Canterbury and the Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy (UUM-TISSA) also included the submission of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the University of Canterbury.
Through the MoU, it will encourage research, consultation, postgraduate admission at master and PhD level as well as benefits both staff and student will gain through mobility programmes.
Delegates were also taken on the tram around UUM to witness the beauty of the flora and fauna surrounding UUM as well as to the Welcome Centre where the delegates learned about the history, successes and achievements of UUM.
